We All Need a Day Off...

Everyone here is feeling tired today after the full-on weekend. I think we all needed a day off!

Venkatrammadu arrived again for his dressing to be changed, and I assisted again and made some tea. The wound is looking much healthier now, there is hardly any dead flesh and far less pus, and far more pink flesh indicating that blood capillaries are infiltrating the area. These provide a conduit for oxygen and nutrients to be brought to the area for healing, and for toxins and metabolic byproducts to be carried away. A very good sign!

I also began work on some more detailed planning for my Primary school Partnership Program (PPP) idea. I want to make sure that when I finish my placement, I leave behind enough material that people here will have a chance to feel very confident about continuing their role in the program, and will feel supported in this endeavour.
