Back to Bangalore!

Something I have been trying to organise for several days now is to meet up with Augustine for our mid-placement evaluations. I haven't had replies to messages and my phone calls have gone unanswered however.

This morning, Rashna said that she and her Alex would be going to Bangalore, so I asked if we could get a lift if I was able to coordinate things with Augustine, and she said of course.

Just in the nick of time, Augustine answered my final phone call and said all was fine for us to come, so we had a few minutes to pack our stuff and jump in the car. I also sent a message to Manuela, who we had met when she visited the farm recently, to ask if this Wednesday was any good for meeting up with her and visiting the disability organisation she works for - and again we were lucky with a positive answer.

So the morning was a bit of a whirlwind, and a few hours later we were back at Augustine's place in Bangalore. The driving had been pretty swift and I am not the best traveller. Despite sitting in the front, I felt pretty bad with motion sickness during the journey and it took a while to fade after we arrived at our destination.

Augustine dropped in for a visit soon after we had arrived, and we had a nice catch-up chat before I eventually felt well enough to eat something.

I ordered a thali at our local cafe, Udupas, but after eating I soon felt queasy again and so I opted to stay in and avoid being driven anywhere when Alex went out. Augustine dropped by for a bit again in the evening and we had some chats, and after he left I was still feeling sick so I decided not to get dinner and to have an early night instead.

When Alex got back he was very sweet and sent me a message to say that he had gone to Udupas, but had left the kettle and a teabag out for me so I could make a drink easily. Everyone knows tea fixes everything :)
